This gorgeous old sandstone residence which has a fascinating history is now a private romantic retreat. Built by Charles Moore - Lord Mayor of Sydney (Moore Park) in 1886. Previously The Vicarage, a boys Grammar School, a ladies Finishing College and Karkoola Maternity Hospital.
It offers three stunning separate suites with lovely en suites and fireplaces. Beautifully restored with all the little quality extras to spoil you. Each suite offers reverse cycle air-conditioning, TV, DVD players, stereo, fridge, dining table for 2, candles, fluffy white robes, towels and crisp white linen.
The guest suites are separate from the main home and open onto a beautiful courtyard, which features the original fountain, pond and BBQ area - great spot to relax in the sunshine and read the papers or feed the friendly possums at night.
here is also a separate cosy guest lounge room with stereo and fireplace, featuring magnificent exposed stone walls. Great room to curl up in your fluffy robes and lose yourself in a book with a coffee or port, toast marshmallows while enjoying one of the many board games, or step back in time with the antique gramophone and selection of old favourites.
The verandahs are stunning and the gardens are home to a beautiful array of wild bird life. Southall also offers a sparkling in-ground swimming pool. |
